When I felt you near
You helped me heal

Brought me back to my feet,
And let me breathe again.
For all that you do,
I’m eternally grateful.
That I came across you—
To find your guiding light
Amidst the darkness of the night.
Though you left me in the dark
A few years ago,
Your light still shines bright
In these fleeting moments,
When I find you in others—
Those who bring me joy,
Filling me with kindness,
Forgiveness,
And goodness.
You exist in silence,
deep within my heart,
Like a wish that never came true.
I dream that someday I’ll meet you
To tell you how much I miss you—
wish you were here.
